Life....... the unequal game

Yesterday, I got news of a loved ones death
Suddenly the floor disappeared from under my feet and the sky fell on my head.
Then somebody called back saying, it was not that person but someone else who had passed away.
As much as I was relieved to hear the news, I couldn't ignore the shock of the fact that the other one was a loved one too.
Somebody's father and husband.
And suddenly I was caught between the feeling of relief and remorse and didn't know which one to react to and how.
Somebody's gain is the other person's loss
And that is how life is.
Somebody's life just got saved
And somebody's world just collapsed.
Within the turn of a minute, fate suddenly changed
And nobody can do anything about it.
I just wish a long life to the one who didn't go
And to the ones who the dead has left behind,
I wish peace and patience and a lot of strength.
